Join this tour for a day in Rhodes like no other! We aim to show you the best parts of Rhodes City as well as our most beloved nearby sites – Filerimos and Kallithea Springs. Our groups are medium size so that you have a pleasant experience touring in our comfortable, air-conditioned Manos signature bus. Throughout the day your knowledgeable local guide will share fascinating facts and interesting stories about the rich history of this island.
The tour will start with a scenic drive along the West Coast of Rhodes, passing through Ixia resort and Trianta village. Then we will drive all the way up to the spectacular site of ancient Ialyssos. Located atop the FILERIMOS mountain, this settlement is considered to be the oldest of the three ancient city-states in Rhodes and rewards visitors with panoramic views of the underlying villages and the Aegean Sea.
You will be welcomed by many peacocks naturally residing in the area. After a guided tour, enjoy your free time walking an old stone Golgotha path decked out with shrines to the base of an imposing, 30-meter-high cross!
You can also visit the Byzantine Monastery and the Church of Our Lady of Filerimos, and try the 7 Herbs Liquor made after the monks’ secret recipe before you return to the bus.
After, it is time to delve into the history of Rhodes City. During the PANORAMIC drive, get a comprehensive overview of Rhodes city with in-depth commentary from our tour guide. You will have a great chance to access the city’s highlights with ease and observe all the town’s major landmarks including the famous site of ancient Colossus, the ancient Mandraki Harbor, the Acropolis of Rhodes, and the Medieval Town.
On a comfortable drive, observe all the city’s major administrative buildings like the Town Hall, the Court building, Prefecture Offices, Central Post, National Theatre, and the Main Church. Most of the buildings are works created by Florestano di Fausto during the Italian dictatorship combining architectural styles and elements of Byzantine, Venetian, Renaissance, Ottoman, and local Greek culture. Then, take a photo of the site that Rhodes is best known for – the COLOSSUS of RHODES, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Then, you will have a guided walk through the Old Town of Rhodes. You will understand how the fortification was planned and constructed by the Knights of St. John, learn about the coats of arms, pass by the main administrative buildings like the Knights’ Headquarters, the Hospital, and the Commercial Court, and stroll through little streets full with stylish boutiques and galleries. You will also have some free time to have a light meal or a refreshment in one of the many restaurants.
The tour will continue with a nice scenic drive along the East Coast of Rhodes Island, passing through Kallithea and Faliraki resorts, known as Rhodes’ Riviera. Arrive at KALLITHEA SPRINGS – a real jewel, filled with romantic sculptures, fountains, and flower-filled yards pawed with black and white pebbles. This closed, rocky cove attracts thousands of visitors from around the world.
This picturesque place has been made world-famous by films such as „Guns of Navarone” and “Escape to Athena”! Amaze yourself with the landscape, learn about its tremendous history and reconstruction, and hear stories about the SPA and its springs & baths.
You will also have free time to discover the exhibition in the „Big Rotunda”, the little fountain with the „Eros” statue, check out the beach, or soak up the atmosphere at the beach cafe with access to the crystal clear water!
Throughout the day you will have free time at each site to explore and enjoy at your own pace. We are sure that this tour can be the HIGHLIGHT of your Holiday in Rhodes!

The one element that made this particular tour amazing rather than just good was Mariana our exceptional guide. Mariana teaches classical Greek literature at Rhodes university and her academic background was evident from the moment that she started to share her knowledge of Greek and Island history with the group. Far from dry or dusty, Mariana has an active sense of humour and sharp, sometimes acerbic wit – so she really is entertaining as well as informative. The tour started with a coach ride to Lindos and Mariana narrated the history of Lindos to the group as we travelled so that ounce we arrived at the stunning ancient town which is perched on the edge of a steep promontory over looking a pretty bay, we already knew quite a lot about the town. It was a very busy place with many tourists but this rather gave the town a happy...Ian N
This trip is very worthwhile doing. You get the right amount of time at Lindos and Rhodes and the cost is reasonable. The guide (Marianna in our case) was very knowledgeable. The coach was modern with air conditioning and we were picked up at our hotel. Excellent tour – would wholeheartedly recommendsammytheshammy2012
Amazing history, beautiful sites and all brought to life by the amazing Mariane! Excellent trip. We thoroughly enjoyed, including our 14 year old!Jolizshe
Zeer goede begeleiding gehad van een vriendelijke gids. De moeite waard om deze stad bij gelegenheid te bezoeken.gerard1753
My husband, 18 yr old son and I booked this tour so we would understand more of the historical facts about both these amazing towns and we weren’t disappointed. Our guide Marianna was brilliant! Full of enthusiasm, wit and knowledge, she really made the tour. We did have a couple of young child in the tour which were well behaved but I wouldn’t recommend you take small children as it’s very hot and there is lots of walking in both Lindos and Rhodes old town. Lindos – absolutely beautiful and very hot. We did walk up to the Acropolis and it’s a definite if you can but please don’t we tempted by the donkey rides, I really felt for the poor animals, use your own will power and feet it’s much more rewarding and the views all the way up and from the top are totally breathtaking. We didn’t eat...MrsClean18
Nice AC bus met us on time at the meet point. Guide (Marieanne) was extremly knowledgeable/helpful and friendly. George the drive was also very accomodating. Fine day out enjoyed by my family.Bab B
Guide knew her stuff. Beautiful tour of Lindos and Rhodes. I’d advise to pay and do the tour of the palace of the grand masters €6 each. Truly stunning and full of historyJaskaren S
ManosGoing tour company’s full-day trip is the perfect introduction to the island and old town. They pick-up/drop-off at your hotel, which is a special treat, that most companies don’t offer. While they use a bus, it is not a large one, and holds about 25 maximum (17 on our tour), which enhances the experience, making you feel more comfortable. Our guide was superb – friendly, knowledgeable, spoke excellent English. While the portion of the tour that covers the Old Town does not go in the building (Grand Master’s Palace for example), it gives a very good overview and explanation of what life was like when the Templars were there. We had gone into the various building the previous day, and I was a little concerned about visiting again; but, the two really complemented one another. One final note about the quality of this tour company. My wife left her prescription...DennyS510
We booked two tours with this company, the transfer to Lindos, and a private tour of the countryside with Manos himself. The latter was great value at 50 euros per person, for six people, for a whole day. It cost pretty much the same as a Tui excursion, but we got to decide how long we spent in each location, and as a result got to see lots more of the island. We went up into the mountains, saw all the peacocks, and visited two beautiful ruined castles. We chose to cut the tour a bit short due to two of the group feeling travel sick, but still felt we’d had a great day sightseeing. Booking was easy with good communication. I’d recommend this company as a really good alternative to Tui excursions.JennaExe
Had a wonderful tour of Lindos and Rhodes Old town on this very comfortable small tour consisting of 9 people. Our driver Emmanuel (?), was friendly, courteous and an excellent driver, Our guide, Marianna was so knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour, she really brought to life the history of both Lindos and Rhodes Town plus an insight into all the villages we passed en route. Would definitely book with ManosGoing again, very professional and friendly. Thank you Marianna and Emmanuel for making the day so good. Jullian and Iainjulian_asgaralli 21 Μαϊ 2019
We had a really great time on this tour. The schedule was very well thought out, perfect balance of information and free time. In Swedish this would be called very lagom! Wonderful tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of the island, who actually teaches a university class on this very topic. Clear and interesting delivery. Would recommend to anyone. A must. Thank you, and love from Sweden!Mariaaoe
