The bay of Aghios Pavlos (St. Paul), with crystal clear blue sea and fine golden sand, is situated at the homonymous small cave, a few hundred meters south to the Acropolis of Lindos. According to tradition, it is at this small part that Apostle Paul set ashore in the year 57. AD., when he came to preach Christianity on the island of Rhodes.
At the end of the beach, just before arriving at the rocks, almost hidden behind the tall trees in front, a tiny whitewashed church of St. Paul was found.
The beach is very well organized with golden sand and fine pebbles in spots. Being very close to Lindos, the facilities for food, drink, shopping, amusement are easily accessible. The beach is well equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, etc. It also offers natural rocks above the sea, suitable for diving.
