The bay of Aghios Pavlos (St. Paul), with crystal clear waters and fine golden sand, is situated at the homonymous small cave, a few hundred meters south to the Acropolis of Lindos. According to a tradition, it is at this small part that Apostle Paul set ashore in the year 57. AD., when he came to preach Christianity on the island of Rhodes.
At the depth of the bay, just before arriving at the rocks, hidden behind the shade of the tall cypress trees, a tiny whitewashed church of St. Paul was found. Nowadays it is one of the most favorite venues for romantic weddings both for locals and foreigners!
A well-organized beach with golden sand and fine pebbles in spots. The access to the beach is from two sides. Both are equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas, etc. Being very close to Lindos, the facilities for food, drink, shopping, amusement are easily accessible. It also offers natural rocks, suitable for diving.
