An ancient retreat

Kallithea Springs or Terme is one of the most popular sights on the island of Rhodes and welcomes hundreds of visitors daily. Located only 9 km from Rhodes town, it is very easily accessible either by road or by the sea!

Kallithea complex was built by Italians during the inter-war period as a luxurious SPA facility to attract noble tourists to the springs with medical waters and to demonstrate the beauties of the island. The healing properties of the water have been known since antiquity. Locals used to call the water “tsilonero” as it had a diuretic effect

Kallithea (Καλλιθέα) meaning “Good View”
